Description
Epitalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) derived from epithalamin, a natural peptide produced by the pineal gland. It is primarily studied for its potential anti-aging effects and its role in supporting cellular health.
It works by stimulating telomerase activity, an enzyme involved in maintaining and lengthening telomeres, which may contribute to slower cellular aging. It is also associated with regulating melatonin production, supporting sleep cycles, immune function, and cellular repair.
Epitalon is typically administered via injection, though oral use exists with reduced bioavailability. It is generally considered well tolerated, with only occasional mild side effects such as dizziness or fatigue reported.
Reconstitution
Add 1mL of bacteriostatic water to get a solution that is 10mg/mL, such that every 0.1mL (10 units on an insulin syringe) is equal to 1mg of Epitalon.
Storage
This product must be refrigerated after reconstitution.
